I recently had the opportunity to bring her [Joy] and another amazing individual to do a training for myself and my staff. After a challenging year doing equity work in K-12, our team was definitely in need of re-centering and healing. Her training gave us time to process, engage in dialogue and continue our own learning regarding this important work. Joy is an amazing facilitator and can definitely provide you the space, time and content needed to enhance the work of your team. I can’t wait to bring her back again.

I invited Dr. Hoffman to MSU Denver to serve as part of a team of external reviewers assessing opportunities to invest in our student engagement and student equity and justice programs. Dr. Hoffman and team produced an incredibly insightful, deep-thinking, critical report that will guide our work in this area for the next 5 years. She was able to dig into the realities of the staff members on these teams and identify barriers and challenges that we had not yet realized ourselves. Dr. Hoffman is an expert in this work; I can think of no one better to bring to a campus to assess this work!

Joy is simply put - amazing. We engaged her services as a consultant to deliver racial identity training at our organization. She was charismatic, insightful, and powerful. I was impressed and grateful at the safe space she created for courageous and meaningful dialogue with ~100 people. I highly recommend working with Joy.

Joy assembled and led a wonderful team of colleagues as consultants to our organization to provide training and staff development focused on social identities, mattering, belonging and community. Through her skillful facilitation, our team was able to meaningfully engage in a safe but at the same time brave space that allowed us the opportunity for personal and organizational learning, reflection and growth. Based on our very positive experience I am happy to recommend her for other such trainings.

Joy provided a consultation to the University where I served as the Chief Student Affairs Officer regarding appropriate institutional responses to the filing of bias incidents. Joy was a terrific consultant - thoughtful, organized, professional, and right on time with deliverables. I can highly recommend her for other consultations within higher education.
